The Last Transhumance descrie în fotografie și film dispariția unui mod de viață milenar. Este un proiect despre păstorii care încă practică transhumanța, care merg cu animalele lor în căutare de hrană. Ei dorm împreună cu animalele tot timpul, vara sau iarna, lângă turmă, pentru a o proteja de atacurile lupilor și urșilor. Dragoș Lumpan a urmărit, timp de cincisprezece ani, familii de păstori din Italia, Albania, Grecia, Turcia, Țara Galilor și România, înregistrând un mod de viață străvechi, incompatibil cu lumea modernă.

The Last Transhumance describes in photography and film the extinction of a millennial way of life. It is a project about shepherds who still practice transhumance, who walk with their animals in order to find food. They sleep together with their animals all the time, either summer or winter, near the herd, in order to protect it against wolves and bears attacks. Dragos Lumpan followed for fifteen years families of shepherds from Italy, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Wales and Romania, registering an ancient way of life not compatible with the modern world.
